The Rubber Match

$2.99

An erotic Victorian Novelette

When Joki arrives in Manaos, deep in the heart of the Amazon jungle, he’s looking for rubber tree seedlings, not love. He wants to start a plantation back in Goa, but he’s distracted by a man with whom he has more in common than sexual preference. Andre likes balloons.

Andre is a seringueiro, a rubber-gatherer. He’s happy to have a lighthearted affair while he waits out the rainy season, but Joki’s shared passion for balloons creates a stronger bond. If only Joki didn’t live half a world away, they might have a brighter future.

Andre promises Joki he’ll come see him when the trees are big enough to tap, but will their feelings run out of air by then? Or only expand until they’re ready to burst?

EXCERPT

“I wanted to see how big they get,” he said, guilty tension sitting across his cheekbones.

“So, see.” Andre closed the door and leaned on it, crossing his arms over his chest. He had thought they would wait until dark, when his brother-in-law was no longer downstairs and possibly able to hear them, but here they were.

And he really wanted to know if Joki was as titillated by balloons as he was.

After a brief pause, Joki cupped the bottom of the growing sphere and brought the neck to his lips. He set a kiss there. His cheeks rounded, his chest swelled, then he released his breath into it. The balloon grew.

Andre bit his lip.

He didn’t know why this got him so hard. His first sexual encounter had been with his cheek pressed to a balloon, so that probably had something to do with it.
